Almond and Wheat Cake

Ingredients

  • 150 gm whole wheat flour
  • 50 gm almond flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 100 gm Mawana Select Caster Sugar
  • 100 gm butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp almonds

Garnish

  • Almond sauce
  • Cherry
  • Mint leaves

Preparations

Almond and Wheat Cake
  • In a mixing bowl sieve together whole wheat flour, almond flour, cinnamon powder, baking powder.
  • In another bowl add Mawana Select Caster Sugar, butter and whisk using the Usha Hand Mixer. Once the butter becomes soft add eggs, vanilla essence and whisk. Add the dry ingredients in batches with milk and use the cut and fold technique to mix the ingredients.
  • Pour the batter in a lined cake tin and top it up with almond slivers.
  • Place the cake tin in the Usha OTG and bake at 180˚ for 40 mins.
  • Garnish with almond sauce, cherries and mint leaves.
